Top Five Used Car Websites in Australia

If you’re looking for a used car, it can really help to start online. There are lots of websites out there that can help you find just the right used car, but it can save lots of time if you know what sites will work for you and what won’t. Here is a review of five of the best sites for car searchers. All of them have their pluses and minuses, and they’re rated from 5th best to number 1 tops.

5. Redbook.com.au
These guys are all about having the latest and greatest car buying news. They do have a nice Featured section – but most of these cars are new. Some however are used and very informative. This site also is about selling other modes of transportation like bikes, boats and well – commercial products, which isn’t at all about anything with wheels. Too much, too big, but hey, they do have it all. And if you’re looking for a bike and a cell phone, they have it.

4. Carpoint.com.au
This sight has a lot going for it. They offer a new car showroom and a Value Your Car tab if you want to sell your car. The problem with Carpoint is that it’s too busy. Their home page is divided into four sections of Latest Happenings, including an Advice Guide, which is cool. But there’s too much happening. They’re trying to do it all and that gets in the way. Plus, you’re just looking for a used car. There are better sites for that.

3. Carsales.com.au
Again, this site touts itself as being a new and used car website, but they lean toward new cars. They do have a cool accessories tab – but if you’re looking to buy a used car, it’s probably not what you need right now. And again, this site is busy busy busy. Along with all the other pictures and ads for car insurance and bank loans, in the middle of the page that have four “Latest” tabs with News, Reviews, Advice and Videos. It’s just a little too much.

2. Carsguide.com.au
This site does a little better with its business. They have a Tools & Advice tab at the top that goes to a very informative page, and they’re not all gung-ho about finding the latest news on everything related to buying cars. They really tout their Tools and advice section, which can really help when you own a car. But you’re looking to buy. Check Carsguide.com.au out after you have your car parked outside.

1. Carzoos.com.au
The cool thing about Carzoos is that they’re fun. And focused. They know you’re looking for a used car. That’s what they help you buy. Not only will they help you find a used car in Brisbane and Queensland, they provide incentives and guarantees on your purchases. Maybe they’re a little too focused – but their site cuts to the chase without all that extraneous stuff. You can scroll down their used car page and look at all sorts of makes and models, and read more details on something you find interesting. And they have this really smooth and simple financing page so that you can figure out just what you can afford, help you estimate what you might be able to borrow and your monthly payments. In fact, they’re so eager to please their customers, they offer a CarzoosHappiness Guarantee. They provide a whole list of great guarantees, including:

• A 120 Point Safety Check
• Carzoos Warranty
• Roadside Assistance

And more.

All five of these sites are worth checking out, but if you’re looking primarily for a used car and you live in Brisbane and the surrounding Queensland area, than Carzoos is your web auto shopping answer.
